Why has CBD become a part of wellness routine?

CBD wellness

CBD is not a new term for sure. Recently we have seen a hype on CBD wellness when it is a discussion on health and wellness.  CBD – full form Cannabidiol is a natural extract from the Cannabis Sativa L plant. But most of the controversy related to CBD generate when we get its relation with marijuana and hemp because all they are plants of Cannabis species. Whatever be the confusion, since Marijuana has been legalized in many states of US, there is a surge in its popularity and a number of people are turning towards the health benefits and wellness of cannabis oil. Interestingly CBD provides alternate treatment in many cases and it is available in many forms like oils, creams, and edibles which we will discuss in this blog.

What is CBD oil?

Though the name CBD has become trendy in this decade, you will be surprised to know CBD has been used for decades since it was discovered in 1940. In ancient history, there are evidence that the hemp plant was used for medical purposes and as a remedy for irritated skin. One of the main reasons that CBD products availability increased recently is its legalization which was a matter of question for a long. Today CBD products have flooded the market and, in some cases, there is very little actual CBD oil in them.

Hundreds of cannabinoids are found in a particular species of the hemp plant and Cannabidiol is one of them. I must mention here that CBD is not a psychoactive item like its sister cannabinoid, THC which creates a euphoric high feeling among its users due to marijuana.

How Does CBD Work?

Endocannabinoids is a compound which is naturally produced by our body. When applied or consumed, Cannabinoids stimulate the body’s natural endocannabinoid system or receptors throughout the central nervous system touching almost all organs in the body. These receptors help the immunity system of our body to protect our different nervous activities like managing stress, mental ability, or maintaining homeostasis. Though not exclusive, Cannabis contains the most potent source of Cannabinoids.

However, you must remember that CBD is not like vitamin supplements similar to calcium or iron supplements. CBD needs to be taken as a supplement to fill the gap of our natural reserves of endocannabinoids in our bodies as we age.

What Can CBD oil Do for Me?

This is a controversial question indeed! In fact, CBD oil has a myriad of health benefits. But it’s not like CBD wellness can work on any product or any concentration as some companies demand and fool people. First of all, you must know some facts amount CBD oil. As we have mentioned about isolate oil in the previous section, that is extremely cheap. Hence, manufacturers who do not even specialize in CBD health and wellness include isolating oil in their products without conducting any third-party testing.

People often purchase such products thinking that they will get health benefits from those products. So, while purchasing you must be aware of the third party who is assuring the quality of the oil.

A few drops of CBD can be applied under the tongue, via the dropper. In this way, the compound is absorbed directly into the bloodstream and leads to quick effects.
